Yay for snowy pictures !!

I never get to draw snow just because ISI is in Florida !

So whenever I can draw snow I go nuts

This is the 'at the showgrounds' extra picture for Rosenhill 's Eventing show

Dundot and Melody were up first for inspections on the third day so they had plenty of time before they needed to be ready for the Show Jumping part of the competition. Dundot was a little fresh from the cold weather so she decided it would be a good idea to let him get some unwanted energy out.

She took the excited stallion out to an empty pasture and the second the lead rope clipped off of his halter, he bolted! She smiled as she shut the gate and leaned on the fence to watch Dundot tear around the corners of the paddock. He tossed his head and snorted as he came down to a trot. His head dropped to sniff the snow as he continued to move forward.

Melody loved watching the stallion have a ball in the cold weather. Watching horses gallop around in the pasture was definitely one of her favorite past times! Dundot ran around for a good 30 minutes and then she whistled for the stallion to come back in. He trotted up to the gate only to take off running as soon as Melody got close.

"Dundot you little stinker!!" Melody rolled her eyes and took out a few peppermints from her coat pocket and rubbed around the wrapper so he would be able to hear the melodious sound of unwrapping a treat. His ears perked forward towards her and then he came panting up to Melody and she held out her hand and he gobbled up the little treat. She led him back to the barn to get him ready to jump over some colorful sticks!
